Our Team

Teaches by Guiding, Not Dictating

At Hua Wen, our teachers embody Passion, Respect, and Openness—they are true P-R-O educators. With a shared foundation rooted in the PLTCM approach—Partner, Learner, Tutor, Coach, and Mentor—our faculty is united by a common professional language and spirit. They actively integrate technology and English into their teaching to create a SMART learning environment that is innovative, inclusive, and globally connected.

A Six-Year Experimental Education Foundation

The Depth of Learning Journeys

  • Learn how to learn

  • Leader In Me

  • Cultivating Thinking Habits (beyond the “Seven Habits” in elementary school, further integrated with the MBacc’s Eight Habits of Mind)

Hua Wen G7-G9

Weaving Learning into Stories,
Bringing the World into the Classroom

At Hua Wen, the three years of middle school are not about “collecting” grades and files, but about transforming what students see and do into stories they can tell, apply, and use to inspire others. Our six-year continuum of experimental education (middle → high school) serves as the foundation, integrating a bilingual learning environment, global perspectives for future studies, and a commitment to local action. Through this, we accompany every child in finding their own rhythm and direction.

A Six-Year Experimental Education Pathway|

From "Recording" to "Narrating, Reflecting, Applying"

While most schools emphasize filing student work into folders, Hua Wen places greater importance on embedding learning in students’ hearts.
We replace one-way documentation with narrative learning journeys, guiding students so that every project, club activity, competition, or service experience answers three key questions:

  • Motivation:What interest, problem, or inspiration drove this? How is it connected to me?

  • Process:Challenges, strategies, collaboration, iterations, and evidence.

  • Impact:Skills developed, values experienced, and how this translates into the next context (academic learning, community, or future applications such as admissions).

This approach is not mere “file management.” Through our Portfolio Lab, Independent Project, Social Emotional Learning, and Leader in Me, students practice self-awareness, logical expression, and action-based learning. By high school, these experiences become the foundation for admissions portfolios, interviews, creative works, and real-world engagement.

International Pathways × Local Academic Support × Bilingual Teaching & Learning

  • Bilingual Learning:Core subjects integrate English reading, discussions, and academic writing, while Chinese and social studies preserve strong native-language literacy. English is not treated as a subject, but as a tool for learning and expression.

  • International University Pathways:Students begin building their overseas study roadmap early (U.S., Canada, U.K., Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, and beyond), aligned with high school MBacc preparation and standardized exams (TOEFL/IELTS, SAT/ACT, etc.).

  • Local Academic Support:We equally prepare students for Taiwan’s Comprehensive Assessment Program, social engagement, competitions, and diverse achievements, ensuring competitiveness in both domestic and international pathways.

Our Unique Features|House System

Our House System provides a compass for student exploration— "Truth House(Inquiry & Science)" "Love House(Society & Care)" "Beauty House(Humanities & Creativity)".

Each House offers:

  • Introductory experiences with senior student mentorship.

  • Context-based challenges and micro-projects linked to industry and community.

  • Project showcases and reflective journals that build transferable skills in research, communication, creativity, and collaboration.

03

Social Emotional Learning|

Embedded in Daily Bilingual Contexts

We integrate SEL (Self-Awareness, Self-Management, Social Awareness, Relationship Skills, Responsible Decision-Making) into everyday school life through bilingual practices:

  • Classroom Language:Emotion labels, peer-support phrases, and conflict-resolution sentence frames (Chinese/English).

  • Weekly Check-in / Check-out:Emotional check-ins, empathy-building, and self-regulation exercises.

  • Project Collaboration Protocols:Role assignments, feedback language, and conflict-resolution scripts.

04

Field Studies: "Everywhere is a Classroom"|

Learning Across Primary, Secondary, and Tertiary Industries

We turn real-world contexts into classrooms, helping students understand how society functions and how industries solve problems:

  • Primary Sector:Farms, forests, fisheries, ecological studiesfrom soil to table, exploring science and ethics.

  • Secondary Sector:Workshops, manufacturing, energy, technologydesign, data, prototyping, and safety.

  • Tertiary Sector:Services, culture, social welfare, healthcare technology, local revitalizationservice design and social impact assessment.

Each experience follows the narrative learning journey cycle: document → interpret → reflect → apply, empowering students to recognize and articulate their own growth.
